I think one of the most important keys to success in any mathematical discipline is to understand how you learn. From this base, developing an aptitude for maths is a blend of practice, constructive feedback and adaptation around this feedback.
As a student myself, I well know the struggles of trying to understand new and challenging concepts - as a result, I am able to better overcome mental blocks and know how to adapt methods of teaching when at first something seems difficult to grasp.
During my time at sixth form, I supported year 10 and 11 students in their final years of GCSE study with their maths course and sought to boost confidence and ability! I have found that teaching others is something I'm very passionate about.
