I approach each topic by breaking down the content and identifying how each sub topic relates to others. I would then look to see what sort of content is involved so that I can see if it something that can be memorised or requires practice. Once a sufficient amount of knowledge of the subject is obtained by the student I would begin to introduce lots of practice questions and previous exam papers.
I am a Physics student at Newcastle University in my first year. I have tutored up to gcse level students while I was studying my A levels. I have studied a foundation year in Physics so have experience with a variety of exam board specifications.

I am currently studying Physics and am in my first year at Newcastle University. Before I started at Newcastle I attended the University of Central Lancashire where I studied a foundation year in Physics, this involved a wide variety of topics from many exam boards at A-level standard for both Maths and Physics. I finished the year with a 2:1 in Maths and a first in Physics which averaged out at a 2:1 overall. I studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-level while I was at Sixth Form. During my A-levels I helped out in some gcse Maths classes and volunteered to take one-on-one sessions with students who needed a little more help. My communication skills are very good from tutoring gcse and I would be able to adapt my method of teaching to suit a persons needs if necessary. I often help the school of Maths, Stats and Physics at my university with open days where I engage with prospective students; assisting with lab demonstrations, answering any questions that may be subject specific or just about that course in general and giving campus tours.
