Personally I am a visual learner, I learn from pictures and diagrams as plain text is sometimes disengaging for me. However, everybody's approach to learning is unique and in order to cater to that I usually try to get people stuck in with basic questions and get to know their work style, for visual learners I’ll use visually interesting slides and animations etc, I’ve sometimes made quizzes for people who prefer to learn a bit more ‘hands on’ to solidify what they've learned and to find any gaps in knowledge. For students needing help with their school courses, I will provide past papers and questions as recognising question style is the most effective way to succeed in an exam. For students looking to just learn a bit about the subject, id ask them which aspects they are most interested in and tailor the lessons around those specific areas and expand slightly around the topics of interest.
I have A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics (AAA) and I'm studying Astrophysics. I have helped out lower years in secondary school during my time at Sixth form in Maths and Physics and I am looking to tutor anyone in school studying these subjects, or just anyone with a curious mind! I also assisted visually impaired children with their reading and writing skills, helping them with reading comprehension and also tailoring maths lessons to suit their specific needs.
