My teaching method is having you as the student taking charge and the role of what happens, I will help steer you to that and help along the way. I will be asking what you are interested in, how you like to work, how many days of the week can you practice and see if i can teach you based according to the circumstances we have so that you can have good practices without feeling overwhelmed.
The lesson will be informal in a way where it can be enjoyable, productive and pleasant as well.
After the initial lesson we can then talk about the things you would like to know and learn, if it is going down the grades path into ABRSM or trinity or just playing for fun.
Each lesson is supposed to help you improve your technique or pieces or theoretical understanding and many beginner learners forget this that a strong finger technique is very profound in playing music for the piano and having control as well as the theory which can help you immensely in sight reading and how pieces are formed.
It is based on freedom of the student and their journey which I’m here to help with.
Every lesson will start with what you have learned form last week and you can showcase them to me at the beginning so we can see where we can work on and then we can have rhythm exercises or some sight reading to practice.
However if you struggle with knowing where to go, I can guide the way and teach you what you need to know to gain results and techniques you can practice to gain strength in your playing of the piano
I have a passion for music and play in an orchestra in the borough and is grade 8 in piano and 5 for theory.
Music is a really good way to just express everything.
I have been giving lessons to friends of family and they have really enjoyed it and have learnt a lot, one went from grade 2 to 3 with distinction.
I have taught 3 in total and wish to teach more and gave lessons for about 2 years until i stopped to pursue my musical career. One was an adult, the other was younger and the third was same age as me.
I have gained all distinctions and merits up to grade 8.
I have 12 years of experience in piano and have participated in many concerts with my orchestra for 3 years as well as attending percussion ensembles to play with others and gain a good understanding about how to play music together in tandem
I am currently studying a levels in sixth form and the subjects are economics, physics, mathematics and further mathematics.
I have studied a lot into music and have been learning for 12 years of my life. I also have studied computer science which i took a big interest in and now take classes held by MIT and do them every Saturday.
