I'm a friendly and enthusiastic piano teacher based in Manchester with several years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities.

I teach piano, piano accompaniment, music theory and aural skills
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with a BMus (Hons) in 2008 and went on to study postgraduate accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
- How much do you charge?
£16 for a half hour lesson and £32 for a one hour lesson

I travel to students in and around the South Manchester area, please contact me for details.
- When are you available?
At the moment I have spaces on Tuesdays and Wednesdays though if there's a different day you'd prefer please get in touch and I can see if there's a slot available.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach students of all ages and abilities, from beginners (young or adult) to advanced.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I teach to the ABRSM syllabus (grades 1-8 and diploma) and my students have a 100% pass rate in ABRSM exams.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching the piano to pupils of all ages and abilities for several years and teach beginners and students who just want to learn for fun as well as those who wish to prepare for exams, competitions and performances. For students who want to prepare for exams I teach to the ABRSM syllabus and my students have a 100% ABRSM pass rate. In addition to private teaching, I also teach in schools around the Manchester area. I have been involved in many outreach projects which aim to introduce children to music and the piano and have experience of many different ways of learning such as Kodaly and Dalcroze Eurythmics.
As a solo pianist and chamber musician I have performed in venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall, King's Place, De Montfort Hall, the Richard Attenborough Centre and Elgin Town Hall in Moray, Scotland, and have been awarded first prizes in music festivals throughout the UK. I have performed with orchestras including the London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and given recitals for charities such as Act 4 Africa and Save the Children. As a solo pianist, I have participated in masterclasses with pianists such as Yonty Solomon, Angela Brownridge and Carole Presland. With my duo partners I have performed in masterclasses with Ian Brown, Ralph Kirshbaum, Julius Drake and Liwei Qin.
I studied Piano with John Gough at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and Piano Accompaniment with Andrew West at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
My current students range from complete beginners to students who are beyond grade 8. Some of my students are preparing for exams whilst others are just learning for fun.Two of my former A level students both passed their grade 8 piano exams with distinction and are now studying music at university.
