Background

- What kind of experience do you have?

I teach students of all ages and abilities and have done so for a number of years.
I teach private students and I also am employed as a peripatetic teacher in schools.
The ages of my students range from 5 years old to adults, and from complete beginners, to students re learning, to pupils who have a far more advanced knowledge.
I have a classical background, but I am flexible and committed to teaching any kind of music that my pupils express a preference to learn. I prepare them for ABRSM exams, and can teach to all examination levels if they wish to follow this path.
I also teach people who just want to learn for fun or who want to improve on skills that they already have.
I am friendly, patient and enthusiastic, and encourage students to achieve the best that they can, and to reach whatever target they aspire to, and my priority is that they enjoy their lessons and consistently learn new skills, technique and musicianship.

I am an adult beginner who used to play a long time ago, and just wanted to start again and try and pick it all back up. Jane was very patient with me and taught me all the skills that I needed and had forgotten, to be able to play pieces that I love now. She is so lovely and I couldn't ask for a better teacher. .
