About Alex

2013 – Teaching Assistant, Eaton Square School, London

As a teaching assistant, my roles varied and I helped wherever I was needed. A lot of the job was administrative; filing and organising the data base or helping teachers prep lessons. There was also a lot of more hands-on work where I was directly aiding in lessons to help the teachers in English and Mathematics. I was also on the management team for the school music production helping to organize as well as rehearse with the children. I was initially brought in to supplement a temporary staff shortage however I quickly became more active as I could use my ability with the guitar to help with rehearsals and performances.

2013 - Teacher, Wallace Chess Camp

My work at Wallace Chess Camp was always enjoyable, as I could pass on the skills of one of my favourite games. I served as a teacher helping to organise the children, oversee tournaments, and give helpful advice to the attending children.
