I like to go through questions together and try develop that exam technique from the very start! To help remember key information I have little rhymes and acronyms which really helped me and others I have tutored! Over time once you are more confident you will be able to do the questions by yourself and explain those tricky science concepts with ease!
I Have 2 years experience of tutoring maths privately and tutored the sciences at my sixth form. I achieved 11 A*'s at GCSE and have a real passion for science as well as teaching and would love to help you!
Please let me know 24 hours in advance if you have to cancel! :)

Teaching Assistant at Lifesaving Club - (September 2017- May 2019)
I assist in teaching the younger years (11-14 years old) lifesaving skills and techniques to help them achieve awards and provide them the skills and confidence needed when faced with challenges in open water. This has demonstrated to me the benefits of being organised and planning in advance.
At school level I have had the opportunity to teach physics to year 5. This has made me more appreciative of teaching and communicational skills.
Team Maths Challenge Olympiad Event
I had the privilege of representing the school at this event in November 2017 and achieved a respectable position from all schools in West Midlands.
I have taken part in maths challenge many times for my specific age group. I have received a gold, silver and bronze award.
Outstanding Academic Excellence Award
Six awards are given every year for outstanding academic achievement. I am very fortunate to have gained this award consecutively since year 7.
In April 2016 I took part in the Biology Intermediate Challenge and received a Silver award.
Grades 1 - 8 Clarinet (ABRSM)
I play the clarinet for enjoyment and I find that it is very helpful in relieving stress.
Grade 6 Bronze Medal LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art)
I achieved my grade 6 ‘Verse and Prose’ Award with distinction which has improved my communicational skills and helped my confidence when performing in front of large audiences.
I achieved a Silver medal in Chemistry Olympiad 2019.
Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award
This has shown me the importance of teamwork, enhanced my communication skills and displayed my resilience. I have thoroughly enjoyed Duke of Edinburgh.
At my school I was a charity representative for 5 years. This role has included helping out at Macmillan Coffee mornings, donating clothes and books to charity and organising and running fundraising days for charities like Teenage Cancer Trust and Children in Need.
Head of Mentoring
At my sixth form I was head of mentoring. This role included liaising between the senior members of staff and my peer group in order to achieve a cohesive mentoring system whereby both the mentor and mentee benefitted
