I am looking to teach GCSE And KS3 level history but I would be unfazed if I was asked to help an A-Level History student
My lesson structure involves looking at the certain curriculum and splitting each lesson based on certain aspects of the Curriculum. Each lesson would end in homework which is usually a short quiz with long-form essay style answers which I believe is key when it comes to Humanities.
I am a patient teacher who believes in practical learning and scenario-based learning I believe it engages the learner and it promotes active learning.
I am currently a student at the University of Reading where I am studying for a Bachelor's degree in PPE. I have limited tutoring experience with the most tutoring I have ever done happened when I was in secondary school and I was asked to help an underperforming student with his mathematics.
I achieved an A in my GCSE History and achieved a B in my History A level(I was only a couple of marks away from getting an A also.) and I also have a love of politics and current affairs.
When I was younger my main hobby was research which means I have managed to develop an important love of General Knowledge.
14 St Audrey's Way Ely
I am currently a student of Law at the University of Reading which I began in September 2017 previously I was a student of Economics, History and Business Studies at Hills Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge. I finished my GCSE in 2015 at Soham Village College.
Until late 2015 I was a member of Ely Air Training Corps (ATC 1094 Squadron) which I had been a member of since the age of 13. I helped during Armed Forces day celebration, Airshows and Local long-distance running events; as well as fundraising activities for the legions and the air cadets I also participated in the 50-mile walk organized by the squadron. Air cadets taught me how to work well in a team, how to be organized and to pay attention to details. It also equipped me with leadership ability and a desire to achieve goals that may seem impossible. I left the Cadet in my GCSE year to concentrate on my studies.
I volunteer to look after and teach younger children in my local church. I am a keen sportsperson, I participated in different school and cadet sports including rugby and athletics I am a member of the Ely Tigers Rugby Club. Rugby has enabled me to improve my team working skills and has made me a person who never gives up and gives everything to a certain cause. I also play Rugby at university which has further improved my teamwork and social skills. I am a hardworking and goal driven individual. I set personal goals and push myself to achieve them. I am flexible and can take own initiative and can work in difficult conditions.
