My teaching style is very adaptive. I am both inquisitive and methodical. I will help you plan and learn. We will do lots and discuss even more. I will share resources and knowledge. I will speak with an objective view but still be fully invested in how you feel.
I am a problem solver and we will see what you are stuck on, and propel the things you aren't stuck on. I explain things about how things work and how we work. I'll set goals, I'll even set a goal for myself alongside so we can encourage and motivate us even better. I'll be a friend and a teacher. I'm firm but fair because essentially I operate on an "it is what it is" and a "let's see what happens basis".
Some things are undeniably true and we must accept them if we are to move forward. For example, it is undeniably true that 3500 calories = 1 lb of fat. There are lots of ways one can lose 1lb of fat. But it must ultimately meet the conditions of creating a calorie deficit of 3500.
1. We make a plan based on absolutely any goal for yourself.
2. We use facts and logic to consolidate this goal and to reiterate that you are a strong and capable person, because all is not lost. You have facts on your side as a reference, always. Knowledge is power. Certainty is comforting.
3. We will come together to find out how is best for you to reach these goals. For example --> if you would like to lose 1lb of fat in 2 weeks but you have a broken leg --> the approach would be to cut down your daily calories by ~250 every day, as you have limited options to "burn" calories via physical activity. 250*7 = 1750 --> 1750*2 = 3500 --> you have reached your goal of losing 1lb of fat.
Of course this is a simple example and I understand and actually am very excited about the fact you are a person with lots of ambition for yourself and how you wish your situation to be. There is always something that works. We will find what works for you. You're in good hands.
Living with undiagnosed ADHD for most of my life means I have tried and tested all of the ways one can function best and reach their potential!
My approach is logical and supportive of one's needs.
I am now studying the UK's only triple major at a top university and have learned how to appreciate and utilise all parts of me! We are nothing without our good, bad, and ugly!
I am personally dedicated to help others and help one help themselves. I've acquired vast knowledge in nutrition, interpersonal skills, productivity, self belief, academic skills, self care and truly anything else you can think of. Functioning with ADHD gives you no choice but to master all of those. It is a superpower and I want to share the invaluable ways in which I have found to feel capable, confident, and proud!
There are so many approaches that different parts of your life need, and I can teach you all of them. We are complex beings who need to treat ourselves as such and love who we are and what we can do! I've spent a long time learning this and have proved myself to many people that my support can be trusted and empowering. I want to help others be the best version of themselves by showing that they are already the best version of themselves - but just need some direction on how to tap into it. Everybody is different, and luckily and thankfully I am an electic person who considers all of the parts that make us, us.
Tips, tricks and creativity fuel the best ways to navigate ourselves. What I have to share are not chores, but instead a lifestyle that you will be so excited to pursue. Trust me and you will soon be able to believe in yourself.
My entire principle is accountability, communication, passion, and patience. I hope we can have a chat and both get to know YOU. YOU are strong and gifted, let's show yourself and the world. Things get easier from here.
I have been an academic tutor for 6 years. I am especially renowned for my work with 10-14 year olds. This is due to my skills of identifying and adapting to what people need. These students have gone on to succeed in their studies and exams.
I have 3 years experience working in a pharmacy, where I assisted all patients, my team, and other professionals. I was a contact for care homes, building rapports with them via sincerity and proficiency. I was also trusted with training up new workers due to my proficiency and creativity.
This has not been quantitatively measured, so you will just have to take my word for it if you like - I have motivated many people by my sensitive and frank personality. Two specific examples that will happily act as references should you need to are
1. Supporting a pharmacy assistant in areas such as self belief and encouraging him to apply to medical school, where he is now in his 5th year.
2. Providing the means and encouragement for a girl to join a top performing sixth form. She also attributes her weight loss, alleviating her mental health problems, and her capabilities in independence to pursue further goals, to me.
I want to assist and support. I do not want credit. I want to see the people around me reach their potential. I believe in you. Let's get you believing in yourself, for the big and small. I can tutor in all aspects of life.
My life and my experiences with the world and with people, is the practical experience I have in life coaching.
