I try to orientate my classes around a conversational style that allows me to engage with students in a way that creates a sense of discussion. I feel that this is important as it means that the students feel more involved and actively participate, forming their own ideas as well as discussing mine. Once I have identified the level of the student we will explore a broad range of texts that will broaden the scope of their literary knowledge and cultural understanding. As well as developing the fluency of the students the diversity of the material provides the best preparation for both poetry and prose examinations.
I currently study English Literature, History and French in my final year of A levels. I have worked with many different pupils in the past at levels including GCSE 11+ and 13+. My most significant experience was running a homework and tutoring club at a school in central London. I have studied a wide range of subjects at GCSE and have pursued my a-level courses with a passion that I bring to the tutoring sessions.
2011-2013: Educated at The International School of Moscow
2013-Present: Educated at Westminster School
I sat my GCSEs at Westminster School, achieving A*s in English Language and Literature, History, French
Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Latin and Russian.
I currently study English, History, and French at Westminster School, and will sit both A-Level, and Pre-U Examinations this upcoming summer. (Summer 2019)
I organised and helped to run a homework club at St Matthew's school in Westminster where I offered academic and pastoral assistance to the teachers along with help staffing other clubs when necessary. I have also completed work experience in the Supreme Court in the summer of 2018, in which I had to engage with a court case and assist with the documentation. Alongside this I have worked in the Rose Theatre, where I helped run the youth theatre program which required me to direct productions and supervise groups of 11-18 year old actors as they rehearsed.
