Primary trained tutor, 25 years experience. All curriculum areas covered. North Lincolnshire,

Methodology

I am a 48 year old Primary teacher with 1, 18 year old daughter. I give lessons to children of all ages up to Year 11(English) and Year 6 (Maths), although if a child has additional needs I tutor beyond that. I begin a set of lessons by assessing the child to gauge their ability and take it from there. I usually base my lessons on what the child is being taught already or fill gaps in their knowledge and understanding where necessary. I try to work in a practical and fun way rather than copious amounts of recording.

Experience

I am a Primary trained teacher, who has 25 years experience in Primary schools; in the classroom, small group work and 1:1's. I have been private tutoring for 6 years and have experience of teaching girls and boys who are primary aged up to Year 11, primarily in Maths and English but have recently taught practical Science based lessons to an Autistic child who is home schooled. I have also taught a deaf child with much success.I also teach cooking, music (recorder) and lifeskills.
