First I conduct a small test and a mini 10-minute interview to check the level of the student. And then, regarding the students' needs, I construct a plan which I follow closely for the next few lessons. My classes are both teacher and student-centered, as it provides more benefit in a language learning experience.
I am a graduate of the University of Dundee and I have studied English literature and currently, I am getting my MA in TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages) at the University of Leicester, therefore, I believe this position will suit me perfectly. Furthermore, it will help me to further develop my skills in languages and communication. I enjoy to talk with different kinds of people and to help the ones in need. I am a hard worker and always dedicate myself to my job. I have a DBS and it is registered in the update service. Also in February 2016, I have gained a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language course) certificate that allows me to teach English to foreign students. I can also speak Russian and Lithuanian.
My experience includes various professions. My most recent experience includes working as an English teacher to international students between the ages of 6-15. Also, previously I have been on a placement in a primary school, where I was assisting a teacher with her 25-pupil class. Mostly I have been working with different groups of 5-7 pupils and gained valuable experience of getting along with children between the ages of 6-10 years. Also, I have been helping with sports events and with class organizing. Currently, I am working as an English Private Tutor on a part-time basis, where I go to different people to help with duties, as well as teach people online via Skype.
