About Sérgio
I have a passion for teaching and have been doing it since I was very young. My first experiences with private lessons were during high school, in which I was a tutor in subjects such as physics, chemistry and mathematics. After entering college, I continued with private lessons until I became a tutor in subjects such as calculus (I, II and III) and analytical geometrics, where my passion for teaching grew even more. In this way, some colleagues and I decided to create a group with the objective of reducing student dropout from universities, in which we made time available to assist students with difficulties, in addition to producing teaching materials such as handouts and lists of solved exercises. In this group, I had the opportunity to publish two handouts in the area of mathematics, in addition to coordinating the production of several others also in the area of physics.
I always like to point out, however, that the path was not always made of victories. When I was in elementary school and at the beginning of high school I had difficulties in these same subjects that I love today and needed private lessons. So, not only do I understand the side as a teacher, but also as a student with difficulties, making it as if in my classes I bring not only content but also respect and empathy for those on the other side.

I believe that for there to be learning, harmony between the student and the teacher is necessary. For this reason, I always try to get to know the student first and understand their demands and difficulties. On top of that, I look for the simplest and most patient way to teach the content in detail, in addition to bringing exercises compatible with the student's knowledge so that he can always evolve.
Furthermore, I believe that the teacher's role is not only to teach the content to the student, but also to instruct him on how to learn to study on his own.
