« I really enjoy Donna's yoga classes, both her Hatha and Yin & Restorative sessions. She has a calm, relaxed teaching style and is always friendly and welcoming. I like the fact that she gives plenty of time to Shavasana, as in some classes this can feel a bit rushed. New poses are explained clearly as well as demonstrated, and Donna will always help out with an adjustment, or a bit of extra pressure, where needed. Her teaching is very enabling and there is always scope for more experienced students to work at their own level, while those who need to take things more gently are encouraged to do so. Probably what I appreciate most is the way her classes integrate the physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of yoga, without being didactic but recognising them all. Ruth »

Meditation: I can offer a range of tailored meditation sessions, including sound, guided, nidra, chakra, visualisation.

I teach yoga as a progressive therapeutic healing modality of which is a committed and devotional practice that emphasizes prosperous health, a purified mind, an energized and connected soul and a kind, compassionate heart.

Yoga & Meditation Methods/ Styles

Hatha; Slow, gentle but strengthening for mind and body, traditional that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

Yin - A deep stretch, slow paced, passive including chakra inspired- Yin Yoga you are spending time in stillness and introspection, for prolonged periods of time. This means you can go deeper into the subtle layers of the body, releasing deeply rooted tension but clearing the energetic chakra centres.

Yin yoga works on the deep layers of the tissue that can restrict a person’s quality of movement. But, not only are you accessing stuck areas of the physical body, you are also tapping into the energetic body.
Yin Yoga is a meditative approach. It can even be said that yin yoga can aid a practitioner in finding meditation. It is a practice that often helps those who struggle to quieten their mind, to achieve a meditative state.

Restorative yoga: You'll also use a variety of props including blankets, bolsters and yoga blocks to fully support your body in each pose. It's a good yoga practice for anyone who has a hard time slowing down, recovering from injury or illness , or those who experience insomnia or who struggles with anxiety.

Yoga Nidra: A meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.

In 2018 I decided to pursue my original calling of training to teach yoga and I have just qualified from my 8 months 200 hour Yoga and spiritual development teacher training journey in the study of classical yoga philosophy and traditional hatha yoga practices.
I trained with the Shanti Centre training school in Bristol / Italy.

I am insured by and a registered member of the Awarding Body of The Independant Yoga Network.

I am a professional, confident, calming but creative individual with wide ranging 7 years experience in holistic and complementary health running my own business and freelance, qualified and experienced 17 holistic healing modalities including Yoga, Meditation and Tai Chi.
My experience includes working privately one to one in my treatment room and corporate group sessions. My corporate clients have included MOD, DAS Group, NHS and Vehicle Registration Agency and more.

I am an intuitive, outgoing, effective communicator, kind and compassionate coach, healer, therapist and teacher.
