I teach students ranging from beginners to intermediate and semi-pro level. I draw from my 17 years of studying the instrument to help beginners and intermediate students find the learning style that is most natural and suited to them, discover their taste and identity as budding musicians, and gain an understanding of the instrument and its roots/history.
With more advanced students, I draw upon my recent Masters-level studies on Body Mechanics and Performance-enhancing strategies to help them be mentally and physically stress-free as they continue on their path as musicians.
I'm a private drum tutor with a Masters in Performance Science from the Royal College of Music, a degree in Popular Music Performance and over 17 years of experience as a professional musician.
I have been teaching drums for just over 9 years. In this time, I have taught about 50 different students, some of whom still take lessons with me today. My students range from beginners to intermediate and semi-pro level. I have coached students through both Trinity and Trinity Rock & Pop Grades, prepared them for auditions, concerts, exams, touring, etc.
All lessons have a 24-hour notice policy for cancellations/rescheduling.
