My teaching method involves one to one work on choosing and working on selected monologues in preparation for drama school auditions, both vocal and physical techniques before approaching emotion memory and Stanislavsky techniques. I also focus heavily on Shakespeare as this is 50% of your audition process into drama school and desperately needs to be approached technically both through language exploration and iambic rhythms before any artistic freedom can be evoked to make your performance stand out in both an intellectual and emotional level.
I have been in this profession in continuous work for six years. Classically trained at Manchester School of Theatre with ITV and West End professionals from around the world and specialising in Shakespeare and Greek theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Within the past year I have been on a UK tour across many large theatres, recently performed at the Liverpool Everyman and am performing in August at Tristan Bates Theatre in London to name a few. It took me two years to get into a UK accredited top 5 drama school, I got into two in my second year both Manchester School of Theatre and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and final rounds of six other schools including RADA and Central School of Speech and Drama, and I have a strong working knowledge of the techniques and requirements needed to succeed in securing a place at these establishments.
