As an Assistive Tutor and Actress, I am very sensitive and aware of the different learning needs or difficulties facing individuals. I first identify the learning style of the student and knowledge gaps, then I like to move cumulatively, with practice, as I was taught in Singapore, especially with those subjects that require solid understanding for application. I always set out lesson objectives at the beginning of the lesson and summarise them at the end in 3 to 5 points. I have taken all my certifications for Disability Awareness, GDPR and Risk Assesment.
I am a professional Actress based in London. I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I was born and raised in Singapore where I took the Singapore-Cambridge GCSE and ‘A’ Level Theatre Studies and Drama courses. During this time, I also made my television and stage debuts, appearing as recurring cast on Mediacorp’s ‘The Seekers’, ‘School House Rockz’ and Cake Theatre’s ‘Dream Country: A Lost Monologue for Women’. Upon graduating from Guildhall, my London career has seen me on Stage, Screen and Voice Over. Recent credits include Sally Cookson’s Peter Pan (National Theatre/BOV), ‘Mowgli’ in The Jungle Book (Derby Theatre), Can’t Wait for Christmas! (Orange Tree Theatre) and upcoming NFTS short ‘The Retreat’ by Marcus Anthony Thomas. You can also see my most recent work on the Covid19 initiative Virtual Collaborators in the piece ‘Me..me?’. In addition to acting, I have worked as an Audition Steward at Guildhall for the last five years which has allowed me to develop a curriculum for prospective students that encompasses Drama School audition etiquette, material choice and a cumulative approach to breathing, movement and text analysis. While in Singapore, I was selected and achieved an A grade for my ‘Knowledge and Inquiry- KI’ A Level, a subject recognised as a pre-law course in Singapore, available only to the top 5% of GCSE scorers. KI has given me a robust toolkit of discursive writing techniques which are very useful for the written components of GCSE and A Level Drama exams. I have also been trained as an Assistive Tutor, a job which requires me to teach University Students with SpLDs how to use specific types of Software to aid in their study, exams and classwork.
A student can cancel up to 24 hours before the lesson, without penalty. If a student were to cancel within 24 hours, I will have to charge them the full lesson fee.
