I usually teach by following the program designed by Alliance Française and materialized in the Alter Ego books, but I will of course tailor my lessons to your specific needs if you feel like you need to practice more a particular skill.
I try to be as flexible as possible in terms of schedule and place to meet to try to make it work for the both of us.
Don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any further question, I would be more than happy to answer to you!
Also, if you are interested in getting a testimony from one of my current regular students, I would be happy to put you in contact with one!
The lessons I give will be tailored to your needs, whether you are a beginner or a fluent speaker who wants to practice his French because he hasn't been speaking for a long time!
I can also tailor the lessons to the specific needs you may have to practice any particular skill (reading, writing, speaking, etc) or if you have a specific goal (for school, work, etc).
My lessons are usually between 1 and 2 hours, and can be once a week or more depending on what you are looking for and your availability.
WHERE AND WHEN?
I try to be as flexible as possible in terms of schedule and place to meet (it can be at yours, or in any suitable public place) to try to make it work for the both of us. ALSO POSSIBLE VIA SKYPE.
Currently undertaking the Alliance Française course to get the full diploma as a French teacher, as a foreign language, I have moved recently from the French Alps to London in order to teach French.
I have lived abroad many times during my studies (I originally have a background in Public International Law) such as Scotland, the Netherlands, New York. During these, I had the chance to give private French lessons on the side of my studies.
However, I really realized how important it could be to spread the knowledge of French during my experience at the United Nations in New York City, seeing how it remains a very lively language nowadays, despite the predominance of English.

I've loved the way Martin has been teaching me French. He is patient, funny and motivated. He's also very flexible when it comes to setting a new lesson.
I'd definitely recommend him!
Martin was recommended to me by an other french student.
Martin is extremely patient.
I recommend Martin because you will gain knowledge of the french language
I am happy today to recommend Martin Costaz, with whom I have taken French classes while we were both living in New York City back in fall 2016. I have taken with him between 20 and 30 hours that helped me improve sensibly my French.
Martin was a very friendly, dedicated and motivated teacher. He has always made everything clear to me, and entirely tailored his classes to my needs.
He was also flexible on the dates and locations in which he would give me the lessons, making it easy for me to make these fit with my daily work.
I would definitely recommend Martin to anyone who wants to learn French with a real native speaker, which is always a big plus when learning a language.
I am very happy that I have met Martin for my first French lessons. He was nice and patient and I think that I really started to improve with his help.
