About Bruno
Graduated with **First Class Honours** in BA Popular Music at Middlesex University in London. I have over 8 years experience of teaching. I can teach several music genres including blues, rock, jazz, pop, psychedelic, rockabilly, funk, soul, heavy metal, Brazilian, and more. I also teach slide guitar and music production.
I am a very motivated and enthusiastic tutor. I teach people of various ages (from 6 to 70). Don't worry if you have not learned the guitar before. You can count on me to help you learn the guitar properly.
I believe that everyone can learn music. A balance between practical and theoretical knowledge must exist to improve the learning process to the maximum level.
As your tutor, I will guide you to play the music genre(s) that you are passionate about. I will give you the tools to develop your learning to a degree level. Do you want to learn just for fun? No problem. The point is having fun and learn the guitar for yourself.
I look forward to teaching you!

01
When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?
I first developed a passion for music when I was a kid. My father used to play music all the time for me and encouraged me to learn the guitar with him. After I started learning the guitar with my old teacher, and nowadays my dear friend, I fell in love with the instrument and music.
02
Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?
Absolutely. I can keep listening to Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Dire Straits, ZZ Top, BB King, and many more all day.
03
Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.
I believe the hardest students I had to teach are the ones that have a bit of knowledge of the instrument or general music, but their arrogance limits them to expand their learning, making the process of teaching very difficult.
04
What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?
That's a hard question. Each instrument has its complications, however, guitar and piano are probably the hardest ones to achieve a very high level of performance.
05
What are your keys to success?
My keys to success are honesty, hard work, and love for what you do.
06
Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Keith Richards. The reason is basically the music legacy left by them.
07
Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.
I had a terrible teacher when I was studying music at my first music college. He is probably one of the worst teachers I have ever encountered. His lessons were founded on fear, arrogance, biased, and complete disinterest in teaching. A couple of things he said in class to me and other students were: 'Why have you played the major scale using different patterns from the ones I gave to you?' 'You're not playing wrong notes, but you haven't done what I asked' That was followed by 40 minutes of saying how bad I was as a guitar player, that I would never become a good guitar player, and that he couldn't see any future in my career. He also said 'Only a stupid guitar player would change his/her guitar tuning. I'd never do that' The lessons were supposed to be 1h long, he used to teach a maximum of 30 minutes and his reason for it was: 'I can't teach you, you haven't studied enough, go home and study the book I gave you.' The end of this story is basically this. I stayed 1 year in this college with him, I transferred to another music college, which I found one of the best guitar teachers I've ever had, and after 6 months, I got a scholarship to study music in London at Middlesex University. I graduated with first-class honours, I performed at one of the largest blues festivals in Europe (Notodden Blues Festival) in Norway, and now, I run my own music school. Never give up learning music because you had/have a bad teacher. Believe in yourself, everything is possible.

What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?
I try the maximum I can to tailor the lessons to my students' needs and desires. From heavy metal to pop, I always focus on the type of music that the student enjoys. I try to answer all questions my students ask me during the lesson and before the next lesson, via text message, making video lessons, etc. I believe having fun and enjoying what you play are the most important things, and I try to make the environment friendly and enjoyable. My lessons mix practical playing and theory in order to make the learning the best possible. I also give the option to my students to learn fingers, thumb pick, or plectrum techniques. Repertoire, scales, chords, timing, aural training are the things I consider the most important ones for my lessons.
