As a self taught musician I find the best way to learn is to tailor my lessons to personally suit the individual as much as possible whilst incorporating tried and tested exercises to strengthen the muscle memory and help the process of understanding and absorbing the information being taught. I find that a fun atmosphere using material the student is familiar and interested in is the best way to do this.
I am a professional musician and music educator. I have toured and recorded with a number of groups worldwide. I have recorded in Abbey road and Yoko Ono's studio and have played at the Royal Albert Hall and Glastonbury festival multiple times. I have been teaching music privately for almost a decade and for the last few years have been running music workshops for the young and disadvantaged in London through the charity SHP.
At this time I would prefer to conduct lessons online but if travel is necessary it can be discussed. If a lesson is cancelled less than 48 hours before it is scheduled to take place I would ask for a 15 pounds cancellation fee.

Since the age of 17 years old I have been a recording and performing artist for several signed bands.

I have extensive experience in recording in studios across the world, including Yoko Ono’s studio. Among many other venues around the world, I have also played at the royal Albert hall, supporting Madness for The Teenage Cancer Trust Fundraising event and at The Roundhouse, Camden.
Music workshops for the young disadvantaged
Since 2016 I have been working with a government-funded programme called Sound House through a charity called SHP. Sound house is set up to give disadvantaged youths across London an outlet in to music. We travel around the city and work with an array of young people with an interest in music. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and has now spread to working with adults as well.
Teaching English as a foreign language
For a year I was the stand-alone English teacher for the catholic school Fatima of Usera, Madrid for two years. I was responsible for all classes from the age of 6 to 18 years old. Duties included training the children for KET, PET and Cambridge exams. I was also responsible for teaching the staff conversational English for two hours each week. I like to use an active, fun environment for teaching young people and I incorporate my musical abilities in to the lessons. I find the students take to this format best and are better able to mentally absorb the learning and commit it to memory through the vehicle of a musical ‘game’.
From 2011 to the present day I have been privately tutoring students of all ages. Teaching both guitar and bass guitar, electric and acoustic, across a range of styles. This also involved preparing some younger students for the Rock School programme. I try to personalize my lessons to each individual and I find that a fun atmosphere using material the student is familiar and interested in is the best way to do this.
