I focus on text analysis, character analysis, and where the story meets the actor. My approach is individually tailored; I ask questions, challenge the actor to go deeper, to fill in the gaps, to make every moment count, I call them on their BS, highlight their instincts about the story/character, encourage them to take risks, support them emotionally, help them to find the melody and arch of the scene, push them to get specific, guide them towards becoming their own director.
I am looking for the individuality of each actor as a storyteller, where the actor can flow and where they are blocked. Real-life baggage comes up all the time because that is what we are examining, our clay is the human experience, our instrument is ourselves. I am without judgment, I am full of respect for your journey, I believe in you, and I am here to catch you.

Perfect! Just after one lesson I can see that Annelise really knows her craft and how for me to step it up as an actor. 5 lessons booked!
Amrit was a delight to work with. His positivity and enthusiasm were great, and we were able to dive into some challenging material right away. The time went by in the blink of an eye and I am very much looking forwards to working with him again!
Annelise is an amazing coach! As an entrepreneur with little stage experience, the most important things for a good presentation are confidence and authenticity. With her distinct empathy and quick perception, Annelise manages to take away your stage fright and get your pitch to the point. She helps with breathing, posture and appearance as well as getting in the right mindset. With Annelise as coach you will find a new comfort zone on stage and learn to be present calm and convincing!
I can highly recommend to train your presentation skills or stage presence with Annelise …
Annelise helped me practice taking up space and feel ok about it, even good. She gave me exercises to help me embody a powerful posture. She could see where in my body my energy was blocked and helped me to work through it. I was a little nervous but it was so much fun in end and afterward, I felt great. I would highly recommend her.
