Every violinist is different and so every lesson should be different too!
I structure every lesson to make sure that you get the most out of our time together and more importantly, remember what you've learned.
**Unsure of whether you can start lessons because of the Pandemic?**
**We can take our lessons online. With my clear guidance, and good wifi, it won't be any different to having a lesson in person!**
I teach a wide range of students with different goals:
- Primary School children who want to get ahead of their friends
- Secondary School teens who are not satisfied with their school-supplied teachers
- University students who want to explore their hidden talents
- Conservatoire students requiring intensive technical sessions
- Working Professionals who are looking to get back into an old passion
- C-Level executives looking for escapes from their responsibilities
If you don't fall into one of the above categories: GREAT! Get in touch and let's discuss your uniqueness!

Perfect! Benny knows how to make hard work seem vaguely enjoyable. He has made lessons a lot more fun for me! He is very knowledgeable.
Perfect! The violin lesson provided by Benny was fantastic. I thought it would be difficult to learn violin as a beginner with a language barrier (I’m Japanese) but he changed my world with the first lesson. Even though it was an online class, it was no less than a face to face class. I could hear my sound got better. Also, his music theory explanation was easy to understand. I am so excited to see how far we can go and can’t wait for the next one!
Perfect! He is patient and really good at teaching the violin. Really enjoyed his lesson!
Perfect! My son started weekly violin lessons with Benny in preparation for his ABRSM grade 2 exam and we are very pleased with the lessons to date. Benny offers valuable constructive feedback and guidance in a very pleasant and patient manner. My son enjoys the lessons and in addition to learning the violin, Benny is also building the presentation skills and confidence required for the performances in the exams. Highly recommended!
1 lesson in and we've already made really good progress. Looking forward to developing his musicality as well as his technical skills
Perfect! Benny is a great teacher. I got in touch with him as I wanted to start playing the violin again after an 8-year break. I had previously played for 12 years but had forgotten quite a lot! Benny has been patient while at the same time challenging me every time to do more and keep improving. I was surprised how much I could learn from him in terms of music reading as well as technique. Benny also has a great humour and has never made me feel uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend him for advanced violin players who want to keep learning and improving.
Perfect! Benny is a fun and patient teacher, and teaches technique as well as the pieces. He has inspired my daughter to look forward to her lessons, something that never happened with her old teacher. Benny is not just teaching the stuff you need for your exam, he also teaches you a piece of your choice. I highly recommend Benny to anyone learning the violin.
Looking forward to future lessons! She's v. enthusiastic and has a good sense of curiosity which will help her develop musicality.
Perfect! Benny is super enthusiastic, patient and inspiring for my 12 year old daughter. She thoroughly enjoys her lessons and his method of teaching. I highly recommend Benedict as your violin teacher!
Fantastic musicality and passion. Future developments will be driven by her own curiosity - I'll make sure to nudge her in the right direction
Perfect! Benedict is a very patient and pedagogical teacher. He was able to overcome the language barrier ("I am French") and adapt very quickly with this new musical vocabulary. He has a rather original way of teaching and offers exercises that I had never done before. Finally, he manages to put the emphasis on practice as well as musicality. Great teacher!
Great musicality that comes out the more she focuses on her own sound rather than the score. Good technical foundation with easily fixable quirks like tense shoulder. Looking forward to seeing how quickly she can develop into a strong musician
Extremely effective in explaining difficult theoretical concepts and formulas so simply that I question why I ever had trouble! We worked through capital structure problems. Now I have extended our lessons to cover derivatives. Many thanks Benny
I've had 6 lessons now with Benny and he has noticeably improved my English comprehension. Also, he's surprisingly well-spoken so just talking to him has reduced my native Italian accent. Thank you!
I approached Benedict two days before my Corporate Finance exam in a last-ditch effort to learn all the stuff I didn't understand. He used our time really efficiently to make sure that I understand not only how to get an answer, but also how to apply a framework for approaching new questions. The best thing is, we managed to do all our lessons over Zoom because he's in London and I'm in France!
Yo it’s been awesome being able to pick the violin back up and be corrected on the habits I’ve learnt.
Super helpful with with teaching you the correct technique!
When I decided to learn how to play the violin I knew it was gonna be somewhat hard but Benedict made that process wayy much easier. I'm still learning but, he’s the best music teacher I've came across so far. He understand your pace and you needs, works with you 100% with effectiveness and gives you the time to truly understand a topic before moving on to the next one. After only three lessons, I was already able to play a song! (kinda). He won't be the person to be upset if you tell him ”i didn't practice this week” so I was never afraid to be honest and show my real self while learning! But NEVER forget to practice, it's always good to keep revising so you get better at what you know! Would totally recommend lessons from him! He’s very kind and totally funny, was able to ease the tension at my first lesson as I was very nervous! And the price is also very affordable given the fact that it's an hour long :))
Benny got me up-to-speed for my Corporate Finance exam - got a 1sts thanks to him! Very straight-forward but takes time to make sure that you understand everything and dedicates a lot of extra time outside of lessons. 10/10!
Benedict otherwise known as Benny to us now, has now given half a dozen lessons to my daughter. She very much enjoys her lessons and feels encouraged by him. I have heard a significant improvement in my daughter's violin playing since her lessons with Benny which I think our cat would agree with as he doesn't leave the room now when she plays. I would definitely recommend Benedict as a violin teacher.
Benedict is a very approachable and reliable person who invests a lot of time and effort into tailored lessons and in all that he does. He has extensive knowledge and experience in his field of classical music - I would definitely recommend him to anyone and to all my friends who might need help with violin instrumental training, music history or music theory. I am confident that he will be beneficial to anybody's fulfilment in musical education, and am thankful to have met him.
Benedict did a great job. My skills were far from perfect when we started lessons. We had 10 classes and I felt confident enough to perform in my school. Plus he is a very kind and understanding person. I know I will keep improving with Benedict, thank you
A wonderfully eccentric and patient violin teacher, I looked forward to every session and actually learned to love practice! I have absolutely no talent for music but luckily he does and I saw my level of play and musical literacy improve through his care and craft.
