I use phrases and exercises varying in difficulty to tailor individually to my students abilities. Then increase the level of difficulty each week. I like to see my students progression fairly quickly.
I approach my classes based upon the goals that my students wish to achieve and then strategies a plan and time frame of how we are going to achieve these goals and by when. (I also use the moto that goals are limitless)
I create fun innovative and challenging exercises and routines to help strengthen my students into better dancers, I include essential tips, knowledge and advice from auditions and anatomy to food and mental balance.
I am currently in my final year of my masters degree in stage performance and choreography at the University of East London, I have been privately tutoring students from my home for the past year and teaching overall for 4 years.
My first lesson consists of an individual consultation for bespoke tuition
I am currently studying a Masters degree in Contemporary Performance Practices at The University of East London.
In addition to my studies, my vocation specializes in choreographing, performing and teaching Jazz, Contemporary and Commercial Dance. I am passionate about building and creating my work progressively, training and molding performers and dance artists with innovative choreography for stage, TV, film, theatre, festivals, shows and any dance related style of work my clients or students desire to push towards. I am a well-motivated, organized and reliable individual. Training in various different institutions has given me a diverse set of skills fit for any situation.
I pride myself on my ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. I like to stay sociable; I keep in the loop by working on my own projects. I feel very comfortable working within a team-based environment, yet I also feel highly confident working on my own. I am looking to secure a role that will allow me to utilize my skills and experience in dance, whilst also expanding on my knowledge to further my career in the industry.
Stage Studio Theatre School – Aug 2018 – current
Stage Studio is a Performing Arts School based in the heart of London. I currently coordinate their dance program on a weekly basis. Here I am solely working with children aged 4-16. Each week is a learning process where we develop our choreography. Therefore, creating and delivering new vibrant and stimulating choreography is essential for all parties. We also work towards shows and performances; I have responsibility for directing these performances which I find incredibly rewarding, yet this requires an incredible amount of preparation, organizational skills, mental and physical energy.
Premier Education – Activity Professional (Apr 2017- Mar 2018)
Premier Education hosts extra curricular classes for children in primary and secondary schools across the UK. Here I underwent vigorous training in order to deliver dance, drama and musical theatre classes for the Premier Arts foundation.
During this time I had full responsibility for creating, planning and delivering these
sessions on my own. This challenging role allowed me to develop excellent
organisational skills and further my creative direction by curating performances each
term for parents and other audience members to watch.

Perfect! I've had one class with Jamie and it went well very well. I was explained the structure of how the class would go before starting, and put at ease learning something that is totally unfamiliar to me. I look forward to continuing.
Hannah has great potential to mould her new skills in dance to use in a wider range of ways, she should continue to work on her flexibility and fluidity in movement
Perfect! Jamie really took the time to build my learning plan around my specific needs. As a circus performer seeking ballet training to improve my stylings in my 30's I have an unusual learner profile and she really took these into account.
Jamie took me through rigorous set fo exercises and drills that improved my agility, coordination, and flexibility. She kept up the right level of 'push' to keep me motivated and improving whilst keeping lessons playful and fun
As a bonus the exercises we have been doing massively improved my posture and as a result, got rid of the lower back pain I had had for years. Much cheaper and more effective than going to the chiropractor!
Roman is a hard worker with a goal to achieve a stronger movement quality.
We had 10 hours worth of lessons and worked over the month, every week building staminer, working on alignment and agility, confidence and getting a wider range of move e t for his performance art fire breathing and circus act.
Roman is a strong mover and I really enjoyed helping improve on his dance technique!
Perfect! I had my first lesson with Jamie mid March 2019. It was great! Jamie made me feel relaxed and confortable. The lesson in itself was very good too. I didn't expect to learn so fast the basic moves. Actually I learned about 6 or 7 different moves, all integrated in 1 dance. Can't wait my next lesson!
Jamie is an excellent teacher! Very patient and extremely skilful!
Jamie is a very well trained, friendly dance instructor. I highly recommend!
