I alter my style to fit every students needs, by finding out what level the student is at and matching the level of teaching. I find creative ways to teach concepts, to help learners to fully understand what is going on!
I am a current Psychology student who has achieved an A* in both GCSE and A-Level maths. Back in 2016 I travelled to South Africa to teach Maths to Primary school and College-aged students for three months. As part of this I both tutored and taught groups from 1 to 70 children, and fast-tracked several of the students to get them to the best secondary school to give them the best standard of education
2013: Achieved an A* in GCSE Maths
2015: Achieved an A* in A-Level Maths
2015-2019: I have spent the duration of the last four years at a local convenience store, interacting with customers as a cashier and also helping out with other jobs around the shop. I spent most of my gap year here, and was commended on my work ethic and customer service. This means that I can perform a wide variety of roles and can work in a team. I can also perform well under pressure as there were times when queues would build up and I had to stay focused on the job in hand.
2016: In my Gap year, before University, I travelled to South Africa where) I taught many subjects to children aged between 8-18, including Maths, English and Science. As part of this experience, I was involved in preparing the lessons and then teaching the children, by leading a class or by tutoring a few children at once. I found this very rewarding, and it helped me to develop in confidence and organisational skills. These three months will be crucial as I now have experience in tutoring children, and developing ways to help them learn difficult concepts. During this time I also helped at a local childcare centre and coached sports as well.
2016-2020: Studied Psychology at the University of Reading (predicted high 2:1/1st). During this time I have helped my coursemates with statistics.
