My teaching method is to familiarise the students with the aims and goals of each session. If for example I am helping a student with his/her GCSE/A level Spanish, I aim to cover each of the modules one by one at a pace that the student feels confident with, ensuring that the student grasp all the information and become familiar with the examination requirements. Of course the best way to learn is through testing and practicing which I always encourage and emphasise.
I was born in Lanzarote (Spain) to an English mother and Spanish father. I have grown up speaking both english and spanish and therefore I am fully bilingual. I attended spanish education throughout my childhood until I was 14 years of age, as at this age I moved to England. I therefore did my GCSEs and A levels here in an english school. I got at an A* for both GCSE and A level spanish. I go back to Lanzarote to see my spanish family and friends twice a year, meaning I can practice my spanish and further expand my vocabulary. I am currently studying Psychology at University and would love to put my skills and experience to practice. Now that it is the summer I have 4 months off and feel like it's the perfect opportunity to do spanish tutoring. At school I engaged in extra-curricular activities which consisted on helping students with their spanish. I very much enjoyed taking responsibility and encouraging those who I taught to achieve the best grade they could. It was so satisfying to here that I had been of great help. With that said, having done spanish GCSE and A level, I am very familiar with the modules and examination styles, and therefore I can teach what is required and guide students in the right direction.
I am a self-driven, hard-working student with good interpersonal skills. I am also fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish and therefore have experienced living in two different cultures. I am currently completing my degree in Psychology and I am looking to gain further work experience with the aim of enhancing other required life skills.
