About Emma
I am a third-year Psychology student at Durham University. My main research interests are legal psychology, forensics, and clinical psychology. When I started doing Psychology at A-Level, I actually really disliked it! Until, I learnt to love it through perseverance, and this is something I love to encourage to my students.

I tutor English Literature, English Language, and Psychology. I instil into my students that learning doesn’t have to feel stressful — it can be enjoyable and something you feel proud of. I genuinely believe that a love of learning is infectious, and my sessions aim to spark that feeling.
I create a relaxed, supportive space where you feel heard, and I can help you build your confidence. My teaching style is flexible and shaped around your pace and learning preferences, ensuring that sessions work for you. My goal isn’t just to help you achieve excellent results, but to help you feel capable, engaged, and interested in what you’re studying.
As a third-year Psychology student at Durham University, with four years of tutoring experience and previous work with young people, I fully understand the pressure of exams and academic expectations. As your tutor, I’ll support you throughout your academic journey and help you reach the positive outcomes you’re aiming for.
