Methodology
I help children master the foundation concepts so that they can easily build upon their knowledge.
My lessons are interleaved with questions and other assessment tasks as well as frequent end of unit exam questions. All this helps to assess the child’s progress and improve memory retention and learning. Practising exam papers also helps consolidate learning and dissipate children’s fears around examinations.
My tutoring sessions are built largely around student’s weaknesses. I identify how each child learn best and teach them using more of that method. I also use everyday examples to explain key concepts which helps build confidence and increase the child’s love and understanding for the subject.

I am a Qualified Science Teacher (Biology & Chemistry specialist), with over thirteen years’ experience in academia and the education sector. My goal is simple - to help students who struggle with science develop confidence and pass their exams.
I have worked with students from a range of backgrounds and abilities including tutoring students identified as underachieving. As a Qualified Teacher, I am fully conversant with all major exam boards (Edexcel, AQA and OCR).
I love working with students in a 1 to 1 setting as it provides the opportunity to better identify their needs and use appropriate teaching strategies to bring out the best in them.
