My teaching methodology is highly interactive. I like to allow my students to lead on their own learning by determining the areas which they would like to focus on in order to fill gaps in their learning. I like to teach by allowing my students to discover for themselves under my guidance, so that they can develop key analytical skills (necessary to pass exams) and not just get the 'correct' answers. In developing key analytical skills students should have the confidence to tackle any text in the exam. Whenever possible, I also like to embed relevant and relatable topics and experiences to link our lessons to the world we live in, giving it a strong sense of purpose.
I am a London-based PhD student in Psychology & Education at the University of Cambridge. I worked as a secondary teacher of English in a London high-achieving school for 4 years and I also mark GCSE exams for AQA and Edexcel in English and Arabic.
I have a BA in English Language from KCL as well as a PGCE. I also have a CELTA and an MEd in Psychology & Education from the University of Cambridge.
I am only able to teach students if they are able to meet me in Shepherds Bush/ Westfield library.
