I teach secondary mathematics to KS3 and KS4 pupils, I focus on using the "I, we, you" methodology - I give a clear example, we try some together, followed by repeated practise. I ensure lots of use of exam-style questions, even in KS3, to help make progress towards GCSEs. I have lots of experience with helping struggling students make clear progress towards their target grades through one to one support. I will work on any areas of improvement you have, I have a very approachable and relaxed manner that is necessary when teaching maths!
I have known Heather for several years having met her at university. I would describe her as compassionate, tentative and very hard working. She is an excellent teacher and a true role model to her students and her understanding of students unique ways of learning makes her the perfect tutor.
I've known Heather for nearly five years, and throughout that time she has proven herself to be an intelligent, reliable, and kind person. She has a knack for explaining complicated concepts in a way that anyone can understand, and is exceptionally patient while still being firm when required.
I am in my second year of teaching as a Maths teacher in a secondary school in Manchester, I teach a variety of pupils aged 11-16, from both KS3 and KS4, including Year 11 pupils. This also includes pupils with special educational needs, I am particularly skilled at working with low attaining pupils of all age groups and helping them make progress with one on one support, especially those who struggle with maths and are easily stressed with the subject.
I graduated from York University in 2016 with a BA in History. I qualified as an Outstanding teacher last year, and am in my second year working at a Secondary school in Manchester. I am keen to help everyone learn to love Maths, and help those pupils who struggle with the subject to reach their full potential!
