Throughout my training and practice I have been commended for my excellent subject knowledge, especially in English and Maths. Many of my previous students made accelerated progress (above the national average), including those with additional educational needs. I am able to identify and nurture the strengths of each child in order to make learning fun and maximise academic outcomes. I always take into consideration preferred learning styles, preferences and personal interests.
I am an ‘Outstanding' teacher, with 3 years classroom teaching experience in an inner-London primary school. For two years, I worked as a qualified Year 3 teacher (aged 7-8 years). During my training year I taught Year 5 & 6 (P6-7 - 9-11 years) and KS1 (5-7 years).
In addition to my experience as a class teacher, I am a fluent French speaker, having lived in Paris for 3 years. I also hold a masters degree from UCL in Cultural Heritage Studies, specialising in Heritage Education.
Above all I love working with children, helping them to achieve and feel good about themselves as learners and citizens of the world!
An ‘Outstanding’ qualified teacher and first-class graduate and postgraduate of heritage studies, I am passionate about inclusive education and dedicated to promoting the wide-ranging social benefits of heritage learning and engagement for people of all ages. After three years of classroom teaching I have decided to revisit my interest in heritage and develop my professional skill-set in a project-based community heritage setting. To supplement this part-time role I am now looking for work as a freelance tutor in the wider Glasgow area.
