Qualified primary school teacher, dedicated to helping your child achieve in all aspects of their education.

Methodology

I create a fun, comfortable environment for children to express themselves freely, in all aspects of education. The best results with children are made when a teacher has a mutual understanding with the child and can tailor specifics to their needs. I thoroughly believe that a child can thrive when aided by multiple sources of intellect. A child is prone to be influenced by different people in different contexts, so a short lesson on an evening may be the key to unlocking potential.

Experience

I have completed my NQT in nursery, but have also done training in every year group up to year 6. This gives me a crucial understanding of the progressive steps needed to be taken at each stage of a child's development. I am a keen sportsman who promotes a healthy and active lifestyle for children.

Joseph's CV

I am a hardworking and committed individual with experience working in a variety of different industry sectors. I have developed my teamwork skills through every position I have held and believe that my ability to work well with others is one of the many strengths that I can bring to this role. My hardworking nature is another of my biggest strengths, having often worked in positions that involved working very long hours which has developed me into a very determined individual.
I have recently completed my NQT year at All Saints Church of England Primary School, in the foundation stage, which was an entirely new challenge to me as I’d only previously completed work in the grades 3-6. Working in the foundation stage has allowed me to grasp all elements of primary school teaching and has shaped me into a true professional. I am confident I can transfer these skills to any form of teaching.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this year as it has enabled me to develop my professional persona and has really allowed me to mature. My decision to leave this environment was purely to permit myself to gain different experiences in new and unique workplaces.

Prior Work Experience:
2018-2019: Working as a class teacher (Foundation Stage)- All Saints CoE Primary School, Little Horton.
Working in the early years of teaching has given me a breadth of knowledge across the year groups. I have now experienced a teaching environment across the entire primary school setting.
Placement 2015-2018 (Later years- year 3 to year 6).
Worked alongside other teachers, of all different experience levels. This position gave me the opportunity to experience different skill sets and teaching styles, which I have been able to adapt into my own teaching style.
Carer 2016-2018 working with special needs people (two individuals).
Helped with daily routine, assisting during activities and preparing them with different skills for life. Working with vulnerable individuals has given me the confidence to work with people on different levels.
2016-2018: general sales, customer issues and collating monetary information occasionally- John Kearn’s Butchers, Shipley.
Served people of all ages, which allowed me to grow in confidence regardless of the audience.
2013 Youth Sports Camp, St Bedes Grammar School-
Worked alongside other Sixth form pupils to ensure the transition from primary school to secondary school was easy and effective. Planned and completed activities to form an environment where the children could feel comfortable and begin to make friends.
2012-2014: Working with children, organising activity and supporting the after-school club- St Walburga’s Primary School, Shipley.
Allowed me to form rapports with pupils in a very different setting, which was the first major stepping stone for me becoming a primary school teacher.
