I base my classes around the individual needs of each student, which is something my training as a Primary Teacher has taught me.
It is important for me first to understand the students background (if any) with the subject, and approach from an angle they are comfortable with. I also believe that these lessons should be based around what the student themselves are interested in or passionate about. I am skilled in many genres of Performing Arts and can manipulate my teaching to suit the preference of any student.
Most importantly, I aim to make every lesson fun and enjoyable for all my students, as for me - this is the most beneficial part of teaching, and Performing Arts combined.
I studied Performing Arts at BA (hons) level for three years at Bristol Institute of Performing Arts (BIPA). During this time, I experienced performing in front of large audiences of up to 500 people, directing, choreographing, singing in all styles from classical and country, to rock and contemporary. After university I returned to Cornwall, and have now completed teacher training, graduating with a full PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status.
Music and Performing Arts is my passion, and I am dedicated to encouraging others to make their performing dreams become reality.
My lessons are £20 per hour or £10 per half hour.
I am happy to have students at my house, or at theirs as long as they have a system to play music through (I have portable speakers I am happy to bring if needed)
If I am driving to the students house a cost of 50p per mile will be applicable.

I have taught music, singing and dance to many groups at university as part of a second year module. I have also directed a show as part of this course.
Throughout my teacher training I have taught music lessons to year one and reception children weekly, whilst also co-running the schools Performing Arts club for KS2 for children aged 7-12.
Although my experience is mainly with children, I am happy to work with students of all ages, regardless of capability!
I have worked alongside Taylor for a few months now and have seen how excellent she is at helping even the trickiest pupils to understand and succeed at their work, she is great! :)
Taylor is kind, caring and hard working. Her genuineness and warm heart really shine through in all that she does.
She has a natural ability to make people (adults and children) feel comfortable and welcome.
Taylor is a fantastic tutor who is very talented herself! She has helped to restore my Daughter’s confidence with such ease! Lessons are well structured but flexible, fun, affordable and very much focused on individual abilities. She brings out the very best in her students and her patient teaching style is modern and a complete breath of fresh air. She has such a warm personality and makes everyone feel welcome. We are so thankful to have found Taylor and highly recommend her! :)
