About Jehan
I am a Melbourne-based guitarist and music educator with over a decade of hands-on experience performing and teaching across a wide range of styles. Trained to RSL Rockschool Grade 8 with Distinction and through the complete Mel Bay Modern Guitar Method, I bring a structured, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate approach to every lesson.
I have taught students of all ages and skill levels — from young beginners to adults returning to the instrument — in both private and classroom settings. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether that's learning favorite songs, building strong technique, exploring music theory, or working towards formal graded examinations.
I am a Working with Children Card holder, fully committed to providing a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment for every student.
Music has been a central part of my life — as a performer, a collaborator, and a teacher — and that genuine love for the instrument comes through in every lesson I give.

I teach acoustic and electric guitar to students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for RSL graded examinations. With 5+ years of independent teaching experience, RSL Rockschool Grade 8 (Distinction), and the complete Mel Bay Modern Guitar Method under my belt, I bring both the technical depth and the patience to meet every student where they are.
My lessons blend standard notation, tablature, and music theory so students build real musicianship — not just song knowledge. We cover technique, scales, chords, harmony, and genre-specific styles across Classical, Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Pop, always shaped around your goals and pace. If you have a favorite song or artist you want to learn, I'm happy to work that directly into lessons — covering songs you love is one of the best ways to stay motivated and make real progress.
Length: 30 minutes (beginners/younger students) or 45–60 minutes (all others)
