I am a recent University of Winchester graduate now working as a Learning support assistant in a busy secondary school working one to one with PD and Sen children to help them access their full learning potential. I try to make my lessons fun and engaging by using games and my skills in performance to help the pupils to access the key skills required for English literacy and language and develop those skills further. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential and aim to equip pupils with the tools they need to get there, whilst having fun in the process.
I am relatively new to tutoring outside of school but regularly support children one to one in various subjects, from GCSE Science to low ability year 7 English. I also run a study group once a week with low ability students and support a range of pupils in a homework club after school.
If the pupil lives further that 5 miles away from me I will add an extra £2 charge for travel costs.
