I always try to locate and address gaps in current knowledge before building up the new one. I help my pupils build their confidence in Mathematics and train them to think creatively and independently.
I have supported many learners from year 3 to year 11 and adult learners as well with their Mathematical difficulties. I revise constantly my learners’ previous knowledge whilst I build upon the new one. Lessons are generally one hour long and are split into different parts.
I have been teaching Maths in schools for 13 years and have tutored in homes for 15 years.
The question ‘when will we use this in real life?’ is one that is frequently asked in many maths lessons. I believe that if addressed properly, this question allows students to appreciate how mathematical competence is important to understand much of modern life. I encourage learning using a range of different resources, hands-on activities and various forms of technology. By incorporating discussion, open-ended questions and cooperative learning, I am able to facilitate a highly interactive tutoring environment
Rates include preparation of the lesson and any homework resources including time to mark and give feedback on those. Lessons cancelled at short notice ( less than 12 hours) will be charged at 50% and must be paid before the next lesson.

Teacher of Maths
St Julies Catholic High School, Liverpool During my most recent teaching post I have worked as a Maths Teacher and a Maths- Intervention Tutor. I have enjoyed my role as a
Form Tutor and have helped with charitable work. Since Sep 2019 I have taught some ICT and DT work alongside my Maths teaching.
As a teacher I pride myself in helping students develop important learning skills and good study habits by devising and implementing intervention plans to improve knowledge and understanding. I have also helped develop financial education lessons and other resources for Citizenship which has helped the school develop in that area of the curriculum.
As part of my professional development I created a small group of students and educated them about finance and entrepreneurship. The group split into 3 smaller sub-groups and came up with small business ideas which helped raise over £700 in profit for 3 charitable organisations.
