I am educated to postgraduate level in Social Sciences from one of the UK's top universities and am a Qualified Teacher of History, Sociology and Citizenship. I facilitate students to be 'active learners' who are able to engage with and take responsibility for their own learning. I work together with students to use varied lesson resources, materials and approaches to best support their learning and accommodate their individual needs and interests. I believe in the power of education to promote positive citizenship and to change lives.
Based in London, I have experience teaching in both selective and non-selective schools within the frame of the National Curriculum, up and including AS and A2 Level. I am friendly, encouraging, approachable, empathetic and enthusiastic, with a desire to see individuals achieve their potential.
I look forward to working with you in the future.
I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have taught in both selective and non-selective schools in the United Kingdom for two years. Prior to completing my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) I taught within the heritage sector for five years. I have taught students from Year 5 to A2 Level, including applicants to Oxbridge colleges. I have also led extra-curricular activities and acted in pastoral capacities as a Form Tutor.
