I teach English Language and Literature at all levels from Primary to Undergraduate. I am also studying for a Masters Degree which combines the study of neuroscience and psychology with education. That is my approach to teaching, too. I teach in ways that work with my students' minds and brains to provide them with the best education possible.
I work with individuals to help them learn to learn in ways that suit them and get the best results.
I have been teaching for five years and I really enjoy teaching as many different levels and topics as possible.
Recently, my Primary students have achieved an average of 34 months increase in reading age in eight weeks, at 45 minutes per week, my GCSE students have achieved above their predicted grades and my Undergraduate students have achieved Distinctions.
I am currently working towards an MSc Neuroscience & Education.
I hold a PGCE in Secondary English and Qualified Teacher Status
She helped me get a distinction in my extended diploma!
Melinda taught my son over a period of 6 months when he needed a lot of help with his academic writing. It was a life-changing 6 months for Tom, who we now know is dyslexic, and why he really struggled at high school. Melinda inspired him hugely, to the point where he really looked forward to his lessons with her, and he is still having remote lessons from Melinda whilst at university in London.
I can't recommend her highly enough!
