I teach teach saxophone, flute and clarinet in all styles, as well as piano and music theory.

BMus (Hons) degree in Saxophone at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (final year) ABRSM Grade 8 Flute ABRSM Grade 7 Piano ABRSM Grade 5 Theory A Level Music (grade A)
- How much do you charge?
I charge £28 per hour for private lessons, with a reduced price possible for consultation and group lessons. Please contact me to discuss.
- Where do you teach?
I generally teach at students' homes, and am happy to travel throughout London.
- When are you available?
As a professional musician I have a flexible timetable, and am therefore available to teach at most times.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach students of all ages and ability levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Lessons are always tailored to the needs and aims of each individual pupil, whether this be to go through graded or exams or simply to play for fun. I am happy to put pupils forward for graded examinations (generally ABRSM), and am also able to help students prepare for GCSE and A Level Music.
- What kind of experience do you have?
During my time in London I have worked as a private woodwind teacher, and throughout my degree I have taken part in school workshops and teaching seminars. I am also employed as a specialist woodwind teacher by the Music House for Children, based in Shepherd's Bush.
As a performer I regularly play in pit bands for show productions (ranging from Annie to Seussical the Musical) and perform concerts with saxophone quartets and the Guildhall Big Band.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Though at present I do not have a CRB, I am happy to obtain one if desired.
- Where and with whom did you train?
During my time at Guildhall I have studied with John Harle and Christian Forshaw (saxophone), Mick Foster and Scott Stroman (jazz), and Nick Moss (flute and clarinet). Prior to this I was a student at Chetham's School of Music and was taught by Jim Muirhead, Iain Dixon and Steve Berry.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of both the Musicians' Union (MU) and the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM).
