For under 16s, I base my lessons on age appropriate novels, occasionally poetry and plays, which we either read together or are set as homework given my student's time constraints. I'm very flexible and try to work with the routines and learning suited to my students and so I model lessons on their current needs and frequently ask for evaluation. For older students, we work on the specifics of what they need and with the texts on their curriculums or satellite texts. I help plan essays and can proof/mark them.
I'm a freelance writer, proofreader and activist who recently graduated from the University of Glasgow with a first class degree. I have been tutoring since 2011 and have tutored students from the age of 7 to their final years of an undergraduate degree.
Lessons can be cancelled up to 24 hours before for no cost. If students have to cancel within 24 hours, I charge half the price of the lesson. If students fail to show for a lesson with no warning, I charge full price for the missed lesson.
Please message me for a more readable pdf of my CV if desired.

Trudy helped me to edit my dissertation in English Literature at the University of Glasgow. She comes up with thoughtful, constructive and honest criticism which really helped me to improve my work and see it from different angles. She is friendly and sincere, and I am sure that she would make an excellent teacher or workshop leader.
Trudy was responsible for recruiting and coordinating speakers for TEDxUniversityOfGlasgow 2018. As a member of her team, I watched her work tirelessly to help polish and restructure the featured talks, offering advice on everything from the overall argument's flow to technical linguistic details. Very personable and professional.
