My name is Sarah and I am a recent graduate of the University of Sheffield where I studied History and Hispanic studies. With approaching tutoring I feel it's really important to be aware that different students learn better with different approaches and so it's necessary to be flexible in the teaching method in order to find a way that suits the individual student. They need to be comfortable and confident in how they are learning to maximise the benefits in the subject. It is necessary for the student to see their progression and my job as a tutor to help them develop in each of the specific areas that they may find more difficult.
My previous experience of giving lessons has been in Spain where I gave english lessons to a variety of students to build on top of what they were learning in school. Each lesson was modelled upon the areas and topics that they were currently studying and the activities were geared towards the aspects that they found particularly difficult or struggled with.
