My approach involves learning facilitation. A skill that I picked up while working with children and young adults in Nepal. This means I create a framework of support to encourage and nurture pupils to reach their full potential. Lessons are tailored to individual pupils.
Experience of facilitating learning with children in Nepal on a goverment funded placement. Worked with small groups of 2 or 3 and classes of 30+. Covered a range of topics from Climate Change to Sustainable Development.

Raleigh Nepal ICS: Sustainable Development Volunteer 07/2016-12/2016
Worked cross-culturally for three months in Ikchung, a rural community in Nepal. Created partnership between U.K and Nepali volunteers, as well as the local Tamang community.
Tutored and mentored Nepali volunteers on their written and spoken english language, at varying levels of fluency.
Creatively problem solved ways around the language barrier in order to integrate and become a part of the local community and personal host family.
Developed skills as a learning facilitator through co-ordination of a Kids’ Club for the children in the village.
Developed leadership skills through a weekly leadership term. Began infrastructure project work and successfully addressed cross cultural issues during time as leader.
