About Ashley
I am a recent UC Merced graduate. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology in December of 2023. I was the valedictorian of my high school in 2021, so I have always been a dedicated student and genuinely enjoy school. Although my degree is in Psychology, I have always enjoyed mathematics and have always liked helping other students understand concepts. I am very friendly and approachable, and really enjoy spending time with other people. Others would describe me as hardworking, kind, and empathetic. Currently, I am employed as an instructional aide at a high school where I tutor students in different subjects such as Math, Science, and English.

I am an excellent one-on-one tutor who has a lot of experience working with different students who all have different learning styles. I teach lessons by giving a detailed explanation of each problem, and breaking down each problem step by step. I also provide different example problems of a given topic and answer any questions that a student might have to the best of my ability. If I can't answer your question right away, I will find a way to answer your question in detail, and in a way that you can understand my response. I am comfortable teaching pre-calculus and trigonometry at the college freshman level, high school level algebra, pre-calculus, and trigonometry, middle school math, and elementary math. For younger students, I will use visual math tools to help them understand different topics. My experience teaching math at different levels sets me apart as a tutor. My students have left kind reviews and have sought me out as a private tutor after their semester has concluded.
