My teaching style is quite flexible. I vary my methods of teaching to the student’s needs in order to ensure the topic is well understood before attempting questions. Then, after explaining the topic to the student I would give the student some of the most difficult questions they could come possible across to prepare the student exceptionally for their exam and so that the student gains the most from their lessons.
I’m a recent Economics graduate from UCL who tutors in Mathematics up to AS level and Economics up to A-level. I have been tutoring since 2014 and have previously tutored both in person and online through the following platforms: The Student Solutions and Tutorean.
Initially, before lessons, I begin by discussing with the student where their weaknesses lie, what topics they would prefer to cover in lessons and finding out which exam board they’re with. This way, the topics taught in lessons correspond the specification of the relevant exam board and I am able to tailor the lessons so that the way the student writes in the exam ensures maximum marks.
If lessons are to be cancelled then 24 hour notice is required.
GCSE rate: £30
A-level: £35
Please note that the first free lesson is a chance for me and the student to get to know each other and isn't a formal lesson. The first free lesson is a discussion over the phone about my aims, objectives, my teaching methods and involves assessing the student's ability.
A-levels: Mathematics (A*), Economics (A), Chemistry (B) and Physics (B)
11 GCSEs: Including Mathematics (A*), English language (C), History (A), Spanish (A), Sociology (A) and Economics (B).
EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
UCL Volunteering Services Unit (VSU) London, UK
Lead Community Liaison Officer August 2014 – August 2017
Researched the projects, work and ethos of clients prior to meetings and joining the VSU (biggest London volunteering society).
Reported client concerns to be followed up with the partner organisation to the VSU committee for discussion. Delivered client meeting feedback and detailed organisation profiles to the VSU committee which I then updated onto the university database.
Approached and inspired organisations found through social media to work with the VSU. Exposed clients to the extensive recruitment platforms available and successfully enlisted over 100 university volunteers.
Provided individual clients with tailored advice to increase employment of university candidates for their projects. Putting client requirements at a forefront, I advised using emails and newsletters to circulate vacancies to relevant student societies.
Independently worked on proposals to secure new clients and presented negotiations on the university’s volunteering service packages to non-profit organisation representatives. Recruited over 10 organisations which have retained a strong, loyal client relationship with the VSU.
Sainsbury’s London, UK
Convenience customer service assistant August 2014 – October 2015
Abiding by the company rules and serving customers within the 60 seconds time limit established has meant that I’ve learnt to manage my time and deliver to tight deadlines.
Stayed up-to-date on stock by researching products on the server. The detailed background information acquired enabled me to better match customers’ needs to the right products.
Coordinated within a team of roughly 10 colleagues every shift. Ensured the shop floor supply never fell short whilst promoting and selling goods to customers and recommending alternatives effectively when no stock was remaining.
Guaranteed customers with a warm and friendly experience regardless of rush hours whilst learning to communicate with a diverse range of people. Resulted in 92% customer satisfaction, elevating the store’s reputation.
RSPCA charity shop London, UK Retail assistant (volunteer) September 2011 – September 2013
Using consumer theory, I suggested to sell designer branded clothes at a high price in order to maximise charity donations.
Commonly resolved customer complaints and enquires in store by answering phone calls, learning to stay composed at all times.
Collaborated with other local convenience stores to organise innovative fundraising events in the community which attracted neighbouring residents to the charity, raising £350 for local schools.
Analysed the account balance, ensuring minimum financial loss and processed £500 of cash and credit transactions daily.

Munisha tutored me in a level maths and economics. She was excellent at explaining difficult concepts to me and was patient in times where it took me a while to understand. I liked her style of going through lots of example questions to help me solidify my understanding of concepts she had just taught me.
Super friendly, professional and excellent at what she does!
Munisha helped me finally understand differentiation. I had been struggling with the topic but now I understand the purpose of differentiation when applied to real life scenarios too.
