My lessons are best suited to GCSE and A-Level students, I have a flexible approach and will adapt to suit the needs and abilities of the tutee; for example I will design stretch questions, and off-topic problems for a capable student looking to push into the top grades and apply for a mathematics-based degree, and will arm myself with past papers and examples for a student looking to improve exam results.
I find that the most important aspect of learning is interest. Not everyone loves maths, but I try to bring real world problems and scenarios, as well as curious tidbits to show a student that there is more to mathematics than just sums and "x"s.
I graduated from the University of Warwick in 2015 with a first class master's degree in mathematics, and have since been working in London. I'm an avid climber and cyclist with a lot of enthusiasm for my subject and the world beyond it, and have been irregularly tutoring a range of abilities from ages 5 to 17 since I was 16 years old.

Great tutor, very confident and excelled in maths to guide you on any difficulties found in the maths course.
Experience teaching undergraduate level maths and below, with a broad knowledge of applications as well as fundamentals. Cares not only about academic success but the love of the subject - no one can learn something they hate, but they can learn to love it instead. His enthusiasm, charisma and experience cannot only teach but inspire.
Tom supervised me in the first year of my mathematics degree at the University of Warwick. He was excellent at explaining concepts I found difficult to understand in a comprehensible manner and always came prepared with questions to keep the supervision active. He also made an effort to include everyone and was very easy to speak to. The supervisions were by far the most useful contact hour of my first year and I would definitely recommend Tom as a tutor.
