I give lessons to all levels, with a strong focus on GCSE students, through the use of patience and adaptive techniques I am able to deliver lessons tailored to each individual student dependant on their level, speed, understanding and confidence.
I am a determined person whose aspirations after university are to become a teacher at secondary school level, though I am tough I am also fair and understanding so as to reduce anxiety and stress for students who struggle specifically with that subject or are just shy.
I am a student at Cardiff University who studied English Literature to A Level standard with an A* at GCSE and a B at A Level. I did a year as a learning support assistant in a year 7 English Class part-time during my A Levels, helping students keep up with the reading, helping them to express their ideas as well as giving advice on how to improve. In addition, I tutored one boy doing his GCSE's at the same time I was, where English was his second language, helping him gain a B in Language and an A in Literature.
My rates may change if I have to travel by train in which an average of £10 will be added in order to fund the return ticket.
Théa recently helped me write my first essay for my Post Production Bachelor’s degree. She was incredibly patient with me, as I hadn’t written an essay since my GCSE’s 3 years ago. She showed me how to structure my argument, discern what was wanted from me, and helped me to develop my academic writing so that I could express my ideas. I highly recommend her as a tutor. 5 stars.
