At a diving competition, divers will jump off a 64-foot high cliff. The diver's height above the water, at time t, is given by the equation h = -16t squared + 64. How long will it take the diver to hit the water and have a height of 0?

h = -16t^2 + 64When h=00=-16t^2 + 64Take 64 away from both sides-64=-16t^2Divide both sides by -164=t^2Take the square root of both sides2=tOr t=2, I would presume the original question stated t was in seconds.
