# How Far...

Answers

Start with the equation:
distance = speed x time
...and remember that the units (what the quantities are measured in) must be the same on both sides of the equation. So we know what goes on the right hand side (using time in hours and speed in kilometres per hours) and can use that to work out the left hand side (distance in kilometres):
distance = 1/4 x 18
= 18/4
= 9/2
= 4.5 km
