solving linear equtation

find the value of x

9x+5=7x+11

Answers
What we have to do is get all the xs on one side and all the numbers on the other so... If we take away 7x from both sides (to eliminate all the xs on the right hand side) we get: 2x +5= 11 Now we have to eliminate the 5 to get the xs on their own. So subtracting 5 from each side gives us 2x = 6 Now to get the x on its own we have to divide both sides of the equation by 2 which gives us x = 3
