If the / is meant to be a division, then it's actually 3^5 and not 3^7. 3^6 = 3x3x3x3x3x3, and 3^1 = 3, so 3^6/3^1 = 3x3x3x3x3x3/3 = 3x3x3x3x3x1 = 3x3x3x3x3 = 3^5.
